 An internet rumour runs along the lines that at the end of the episode Bad Girls, when Buffy goes to talk to Faith, she was supposed to have discovered Faith dead, having hung herself. This doesn’t seem entirely right as the Faith/Mayor relationship is so integral to this season. |

That would have eliminated an entire story arc! I’m sure it is nothing more than an ill-founded rumour.
If it were true there would be no Faith-Mayor relationship, no “Faith goes from bad to worse” angle, no Faith redemption, and…well…no more Faith full stop!
The only thing she hung, as I recall, was her recently-washed, previously blood-stained clothing.
