In Life of the Party, Lorne says into his phone, “Well, I’m pretty sure that Henry Fonda’s dead, sweetie. Yeah. Bring him back to life? Let me talk to my science people” and later “Wes, if you see Fred, can you have her pencil me in for later? I gotta talk to her about Henry Fonda’s big comeback.” He’s referring to Henry Fonda (May 16, 1905 – August 12, 1982) who was a highly acclaimed American film, stage, and television actor. He was the patriarch of a family of famous actors, including son Peter Fonda, daughter Jane Fonda, granddaughter Bridget Fonda, and grandson Troy Garity. He was nominated for an Academy Award for The Grapes of Wrath, and appeared in The Ox-Bow Incident, Mister Roberts, and 12 Angry Men. |
