Lorne prepares the annual Wolfram & Hart Halloween Party. Many of the firm’s clients are invited, which worries Angel since so many of them are genuinely evil. Furthermore, many of the clients are familiar with Angel as a Champion of good and are very suspicious. When something causes Angel and company to start acting erratically, they must find a way to stop it before they say or do the wrong thing in front of their skittish (and dangerous) guests.

Archduke Sebassis
Archduke Sebassis was the powerful head of demonic royalty and a commander of over 40 legions. He drank blue blood, provided directly from a chained slave. He had distinctive horns and pointed ears. An A-List guest for parties, the Archduke also enjoyed blood sport at functions. A member of the Circle of the Black Thorn, he was killed in the final battle when Angel spiked his slave’s blood with a lethal substance.

In Life of the Party, Lorne says into his phone, “Well, I’m pretty sure that Henry Fonda’s dead, sweetie. Yeah. Bring him back to life? Let me talk to my science people” and later “Wes, if you see Fred, can you have her pencil me in for later? I gotta talk to her about Henry Fonda’s big comeback.” He’s referring to Henry Fonda (May 16, 1905 – August 12, 1982) who was a highly acclaimed American film, stage, and television actor. He was the patriarch of a family of famous actors, including son Peter Fonda, daughter Jane Fonda, granddaughter Bridget Fonda, and grandson Troy Garity. He was nominated for an Academy Award for The Grapes of Wrath, and appeared in The Ox-Bow Incident, Mister Roberts, and 12 Angry Men.
UC Santa Cruz
Buffy writer Marti Noxon attended UC Santa Cruz. Three colleges from Santa Cruz are named in season four of Buffy: Stevenson, Kresge and Porter. In Living Conditions, Buffy tells Parker her dorm is in Stevenson Hall (number 214). There’s a party at Porter in Doomed and in The I in Team, Buffy mentions Kresge Hall.
