In Forever, Buffy says she and her mother discussed what would happen if Joyce died during her surgery. This was probably in Listening to Fear before Joyce told Buffy she knew Dawn wasn’t real.

Todd Duffey, who played Glory’s minion Murk, has been in Burning Annie, The Black Rose, Office Space, Charmed, The Drew Carey Show, ER and Walker, Texas Ranger. He appeared in six episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer during season five.

Willow’s dorm room is number 213 (seen in The Body). She shared a dorm with Buffy in the previous year which was number 214, so this is probably next door.

The episode The Body contains Willow and Tara’s first on-screen kiss. Joss wanted the kiss to be natural, and not to be the main focus of the episode so he included it in this episode. He told TV Guide, “It belongs somewhere where you least expect it”.

Joyce is seen alive for the last time in I Was Made to Love You (not including flashbacks in other episodes). She dies of a brain aneurysm when Buffy is talking to April and Dawn is at school. The aftermath of her death is dealt with in The Body.

In I Was Made To Love You, Dawn mentions Joyce’s ex-boyfriend Ted, who turned out to be a homicidal robot. It must be a coincidence that there’s another robot in town when Joyce is going on her first date since Ted.

Buffy says to Ben at the Spring Break party in I Was Made to Love You that she’s seen him in “non-medical clothing” before. She did:at the re-opening of the Bronze in Crush.
