I think it is odd how Jesse and Xander were ‘buds’ and he was killed and never mentioned again. They should have at least mentioned him. I think it would have been cool to see him as the first!

I think they at the very least should have mention him again.. I meen, Xanders very brief time as soldier-boy i mentioned all the time.

when Willow heard that Jesse was a vampire, she seemed really calm… glad that Buffy & Xander are okay… but she knew Jesse longer then Buffy…
if it was one of my friends I would freak out!

I agree that the Jesse character was interesting. I think Joss wanted Jesse to be well liked so that the loss of him would carry some weight. You know, the price of battle thing, like Anya in The Chosen. I think it was on a comments section that Joss says he wanted to put Eric Balfour in the main credits to add more weight, but the network wouldn’t do it. I think he also said that he was able to accomplish that in AtS. I guess with Doyle?

They were also gonna bring Halfrek back as The First for Anya, but neither Xander or Anya were in the episode.
