Lydia was a female Watcher who questioned Spike when the Council were testing Buffy in Checkpoint. She wrote her thesis on him. Lydia was blown up in Never Leave Me along with the Watcher’s Council Headquarters. Her name is not mentioned on-screen but it in the script. Appeared in: Checkpoint, Never Leave Me |

Actually, Lydia is named in “Never Leave Me”. She’s one who brings some of the worst field news in and Traverse patts her on the the back and says something completely patronising like, “Now then Lydia” just before he launches into his big speech.
I went and checked on the DVD. I have *way* too much time.
