At the very beginning of First Date, as the Scoobies walk through the graveyard, there is a grave in the bottom right of the screen with the name Snyder on it - perhaps it’s that of Sunnydale High’s ex-Principal? |

Snyder was eaten by the Mayor after he ascended into the demon, so would they have a grave for him? I’m not sure.

There may have been no body - but he would still have been honoured with a grave.

Could be that and a great in-joke from the producers to the fans. They knew how much the fans liked Snyder

oh yeah…loved snyder. haha. he was great at being a jerk. i think maybe that the people may not have wanted to give in to the fact that he was eaten by a snake that was once the mayor. remember, at the end of The Harvest, i think, giles says that people rationalize what they don’t understand. but…who reall knows.

Ah, Snyder. Funny man. I love how he tried so hard to be evil… but in the end he was just Snyder. And he was hilarious in Band Candy — some of the funniest scenes in the whole show, I think.

I say that whenever I get in the car. Most people don’t think it’s as funny as I do though.
