Spinning the Bottle

In the Angel episode ‘Spin the Bottle‘, Wesley references the Slayer test shown in Helpless. He says, “There are stories at the Watcher’s Academy of a test. A secret gauntlet which only the most cunning can survive. You’re locked in a house with a vicious, deadly vampire, and you have to kill him before he kills you. It’s been done in the past with Slayers.”

I love that Wesley, so carefree and unsure of himself.

    2. Jess says:

I watched ‘She’ again last night - Wesley’s dancing is just so hilarious in that episode. Alexis is completely shameless!

    3. Mel says:

I love both Wesley and Angel’s dancing in that episode. Even Simon laughs very hard at that part.

I loved it so much, I made it my forum avatar!

The deleted scene on the disc for ‘Waiting in the Wings’ is a ballet dance with Alexis and Amy. Joss even says in the commentary (something along the lines of) it was his ability to be so un-selfconscious that inspired the whole thing, even though ultimately it had to be jettisoned. Alexis is really not afraid to make a prat of himself. Takes a real man to wear tights!

The thing about the slayer being locked in the house with a vampire is called the Cruciamentorium. I think.

    6. Mel says:

It’s called the Cruciamentum. Dont know if I have spelled it correctly though.
