In Him, whilst under a love spell, Buffy goes to kill Principal Wood using a rocket launcher. She used one of these to kill the Judge in Innocence so it’s possible that it’s the same launcher - otherwise where would she have got it from?
It is very possible that this is my favorite scene of all time. Rivaled only by anytime Anya talks about shrimp or if Andrew has a scene with a potential, or anybody else for thtat matter….
I thought that episode was wonderful because all the responsibility was laid on Xander and Spike’s shoulders — the girls were all love-struck. I loved seeing them panic and run around trying to keep everyone from making horrible mistakes… and their plan for stealing the jacket was hilarious! I also liked that Xander and Spike — who normally have a very rocky relationship — had to work together to fix a problem.
I loved that even though they’d been enemies, Xander just really needed a guy pal. I think Spike did too actually…he had Angelus back in the day, and then pretty much just hung out with Dru for a hundred years (near as I can figure). Guys just need to be guys together sometimes.
Spike tackling Buffy outside Wood’s window was indeed a classic, then running away with the launcher with Buffy following - and the look on Wood’s face!! Hysterical!
That scene was so funny. I had to try to stop myself from laughing coz everyone in my house was asleep and i was just bawling with laughter
That describes my situation from a wee while ago! I just rewatched this episode and when that moment came on, I was gone. This is the 4th/5th time I’ve seen just this scene and it has the same effect everytime, I love it! Definitely one of my favourite scenes ever. And I think the jacket stealing plan is awesome, I remember being in hysterics the first time I watched it.
I’m pretty much agreed with everything you guys said about the Xander and Spike relationship in this episode too. They make a good team and it’s always fun to watch their interaction (when they’re not trying to kill each other).

I totally agree. Every single time I watch this scene I laugh my pants off! Not literally, mind you.

Their scenes are great when they’re trying to kill each other too. When they’re being snarky at one another is the best, though.

True that, TTG-G. I guess I really meant when Xander isn’t being unnecessarily cruel to Spike. It’s happened, you know it’s true!
