I cann appreciate a vampire has no reflection, but why in the world would the clothing they wear fail to cast one? Shoes, shirts, pants, etc. are, after all, inanimate objects which the vampires are capable of removing and replacing, so why is it that the mere fact they are wearing the clothing render them, suddenly, “unreflected”? (On a related topic, why do the clothes the vampires wear when staked “dust” along with them? Xander expressed some concern that, when Spike attempted to “stake” himself, Xander’s shirt would be “dusted” along with him….)

And yet the rings of vampires are not dusted when they provide a vital plot point.
