Why did he think it be weirder with Alyson than with Emma?

Probably because Alyson, particularly as Willow, is more child-like and he would have felt like a big perv.

I dreamt once that I kissed Angel on a sinking boat and he was wearing a yellow raincote and one of those umberella hats… I’m not exalerating.

I would have thought that it would have been weirder with Alyson is because he’s known her longer than Emma. They’ve been in every season together and if it was me, it would have been like kissing family, which is just wrong. I wouldn’t say no to Emma, though ;)

yeah, that’s kind of what I was thinking too with kid-like…she’s more like young family, like a niece or something.
can i just say, one of my favorite giles/willow moments is in doppleganger when she comes in the library and buffy and xander smother her with hugs and she looks to giles to see what’s going on and giles just hugs her too.
it’s sweet.

I like that bit too. My other fave Willow/Giles scene is in Halloween when she walks through the wall and he jumps out if his skin.

Willow and Giles has some really cute scenes together. Maybe my favorite is when Willow arrives at Giles’s house in Hush and she write on the clipboad that ‘Hi Giles!’ and than they’re hug each other. That was very cute!!!
And of course I liked the scenes with them in England in the first two episodes of Season 7.
Anyway, I think Anthony said that because they are friends with Alyson in real life. They said it a lot when someone asked how they get along with other cast members. And they always said that they are really close to each other. So I think that’s why Anthony didn’t want a kiss-scene with Alyson… :)
Oh and I heard that Alyson is a good friend with Tom Lenk as well! Funny I think… :)

Oh, and I really liked the kiss-scene between Giles and Anya… It was very funny. But that was even funnier (after the kiss) when they acted like they were still under the spell and talked about how messy the shop is… :)
