Bloody sword?

In season 5, episode Spiral, approx. 17 minutes out in the episode.
Spike is holding the knight’s sword so Buffy can buy time and get on the roof, but when the knight finally gets his sword out of the (no, not stone :) car roof - is there any blood on it? Spike’s hands are bloody and there should have been blood on the steel, shouldn’t it?

      Maybe the blade was wiped clean when it was taken out of the roof?
