In Consequences, Faith is strangling Xander and Angel has to get her off of him by hitting her on the head with a bat. As far as I can remember, Angel has never been in Faith’s apartment before. Did he manage to get in without an invitation? If he did, and assuming it wasn’t a mistake, this is the first of two times he is able to get into a residence without an ivite. In the Angel Episode Epiphany, he is able to get into Det. Kate Lockley’s apartment to prevent her suicide even though he was never invited in. Another possible explanation is that the bar to entry doesn’t work on hotel rooms. |

I thought that as it was a motel room that Faith was staying in that vampires wouldn’t need an invitation. When Faith is being chased by Mr Trick and Kakistos they walk into her room too.

I agree.

Oh, I just remembered! In the episode Innocence, Angelus walks into Jenny’s uncle’s hotel room without an invite. So, vampires probably don’t need an invite to get into hotel/motel rooms because like a hospital or store or something, it is a public place.

bangel - you’re right. It is actually addressed in the episode about Angel saving her life and she says that she never invited him in. So she was dead for a period of time. This brings up a question though. A vamp cannot be invited into a house unless the owner’s or owner’s family who live there invite them in or if they are dead. If someone dies and then is brought back to life does that mean the spell is broken or does it just work again when they are brought back to life? Or am i just talking nonsense? Meh, i dunno.
