Kwaini demons

Kwaini

Kwaini demons are generally peaceful, articulate, gentle, and always female. Their adrenal glands are usually the size of a walnut, but could become enlarged. This occured in some Kwaini when they became addicted to a drug which contained eye of newt. It had an effect on them similar to that of PCP on humans - increased strenth and violent behaviour. A dead Kwaini demon should be buried in virgin soil with a simple Latinate incantation.

Just what exactly is virgin soil, anyway?

    2. tadpole says:

There is another reference to a ‘walnut’ somewhere in the series-Heart the size of a walnut or something like that. I can’t place it. A little help?

      (It might be in ‘Angel.)

Oh, and ‘virgin soil’ is simply undisturbed soil, which I imagine there is a whole lot of in this world of ours.

    3. becsug says:

In ‘Soul Purpose’, Angel dreams under the influence of Eve’s giant slug creature that Fred is emptying his chest cavity, and she says something like, “Whaddya know, it really is just a dried-up, little walnut!” But this itself is in reference to the use of the phrase in a previous episode, which I can’t place. At any rate, hope this helps a little?

    4. TwoToGo-Grave says:

The previous episode was “The Cautionary Tale Of Numero Cinco”, in which Numero Cinco makes a reference to Angel’s heart being a “dried up little walnut”. I hope that helps at all.
