Kwaini demons are generally peaceful, articulate, gentle, and always female. Their adrenal glands are usually the size of a walnut, but could become enlarged. This occured in some Kwaini when they became addicted to a drug which contained eye of newt. It had an effect on them similar to that of PCP on humans - increased strenth and violent behaviour. A dead Kwaini demon should be buried in virgin soil with a simple Latinate incantation. |

Just what exactly is virgin soil, anyway?

There is another reference to a ‘walnut’ somewhere in the series-Heart the size of a walnut or something like that. I can’t place it. A little help?
(It might be in ‘Angel.)
Oh, and ‘virgin soil’ is simply undisturbed soil, which I imagine there is a whole lot of in this world of ours.

In ‘Soul Purpose’, Angel dreams under the influence of Eve’s giant slug creature that Fred is emptying his chest cavity, and she says something like, “Whaddya know, it really is just a dried-up, little walnut!” But this itself is in reference to the use of the phrase in a previous episode, which I can’t place. At any rate, hope this helps a little?

The previous episode was “The Cautionary Tale Of Numero Cinco”, in which Numero Cinco makes a reference to Angel’s heart being a “dried up little walnut”. I hope that helps at all.
