Hmm…pretty weird that Buffy used the exact same line in two episodes that are only 3 episodes way from each other. Oh well, in reality people use the same phrases a lot so why not Buffy?

i think i saw this less as sloppy/ careless writing and more as consistent humour…
but i also like this cause its like a wee comment on how buffy’s world is so complicated that she assumes that others find everything complicated too.
it’s a good insight into her how her personality evolves as she grows up.

What about when Giles says Long Story - and then Buffy gives what he calls the “abridged version”. But I can’t remember what episode its from.

I think that this is the same kind of “joke” that they give to Andrew everytime (The “Show it!” joke when he always started to talking about another thing).
Yes, I swear that there was another “long story” joke in one epis between Giles and Buffy……
Grrr… I have to find out!!!!
