At the end of each credit sequence there is a long close up of Buffy just before the episode starts. The close up at the end of seasons six and seven is not really Buffy at all. In season six, it’s actually the Buffybot from The Gift and in season seven it is the First Evil in Buffy’s form from Lessons. |

WOW!! i thought i was the only one that noticed that. well..so much for feeling special :P do you think it actually means something, or is it just that the editors had a couple of heroic-looking close-ups and threw them in..i’d like to think there’s something to it, but i can’t quite put my finger on it. yet.

I think its just that for those shots they need a shot where Buffy is standing still for a few seconds sort of staring and those were the best ones.

actually in the season 7 credits, the final close up isn’t at all heroic-like. she’s evil-looking with an evil superior grin(and that’s natural, her being the First Evil and all). but why make her evil (operative word, this one here), and in the credits, nonetheless?..

It actually makes sense that the shots don’t have to be of “Buffy.” The credits aren’t there to show characters, but are instead there to simply show shots of the cast. Therefore, it would seem logical that they would just take the best shots available to put at the end of the opening credits.

I was thinking the exact same thing, NotFadeAway.
