In Giles’s dream in Restless, he sees Spike having his picture taken in different intimidating poses. In Storyteller, when Andrew is recording Spike for his documentary, Spike is seen being filmed (”Sod off before I rip your throat out and eat it”), and is willing to repeat the recording when Andrew tells him that the light was in the wrong place. He is acting intimidating and scary for the Andrew’s camera, just as he was acting for the cameras in Restless. |

I think he’s not really himself when he’s a vampire. you still keep some of your original personality which you can see in Lies My Parents Told Me. So i think him as a badass vampire is somewhat of an act. Let me know if i’ve missed something.

It could be. He definitely likes being seen that way, but he also has that very soft, mellow, lovey-dovey side. I think it’s so charming because of the contrast. And who knows, maybe Mr. Badass is all just a farce… he does have a temper though, which we have seen a few times.
