I’d be jealous too if i had Willow and she was checking out someone else.

Will was without focus before Tara for sure. She was confused about her sexuality. She didn’t know/admit that she was gay. All she wanted was Xander. She gave up, met a wonderful guy in Oz. Then, to her, Oz was not all that she expected? Maybe because he wasn’t Xander? No, she got Xander, that wasn’t it. She’s still not happy sexually. Blamed herself, It must be my fault, how could I do this to Oz? Oz is such a good guy, I’m so lucky to have him back. Why is this not working for me? Along comes Tare, ‘click’ oh, that’s why… To me that’s the Willow sexuallity arc in a nutshell.

Also, Willow was just in High School when she was in love with Xander and Oz, in the beginning. At that young age, one is without focus in general so whether she was gay or not, it still made sense for her to want Xander, then Oz, then both, etc… I also wonder if Seth Green would have been able to stay on as a regular cast member, if Willow would have still fallen in love with a woman eventually?
Another jealous Tara moment (not exactly sure if this is jealousy, but insecurity) is in season 5, when they have their first fight, Tara questions if Willow’s lesbian tendancies are only a phase.

Is it uncommon for Americans to be bisexual? Because people always say how Willow suddenly ‘went gay’ and isn’t it possible she could just like both sexes? That would make much more sense, because I think she loved both Oz and Tara but chose Tara because she’d grown much closer to her and didn’t want to hurt her

@stephanieisit: it does makes sense that Willow would be bisexual. I believe a good part of the saying that she is only “gay” comes from some future episodes: Tabula Rasa, where even without memories of her past she realizes her attraction to Tara, Him, where she wants to turn RJ into a woman because the spell made her love him, etc.
