In addition to this, Buffy says, after defeating the Turok-Han, “Here endth the lesson” which is a nod to season one’s 7th episode “Angel” where the Master says the very same thing to the Anointed One.

In Fool For Love, in season 5, Spike says “here endeth the lesson” too at the end, after they show the fight between him and Niki/Buffy.
