Spike dosn’t get it from the school basement, he gets it from the basement in Buffys house.

He definitely gets it from the school basement. He even passes Principal Wood in the school telling him he got the jacket in New York.

    3. All4Spike says:

      1) How did the coat get from Buffy’s house where Xander finds it at the bottom of the stairs where Spike left it in ‘Seeing Red’, to the new Highschool which would not have been completed at the time?
      2) How how did Spike know it was there and where to find it?

I think that maybe Spike didn’t go crazy right away. He still had time to break into Buffy’s house and get his coat. I mean, in Angel where Darla is human, it takes a while for her soul to kick in. However, he still felt guilty about the whole rape thing, and so didnt want to talk to Buffy. As time went on he got more crazy and there we go.

How did Spike get all of his other clothes? I doubt he took them ALL to Africa. The coat was in a box, so obviously he collected up his stuff there. I’m guessing they put it in his crypt, with all his other stuff, when Clem told them he’d gone away.
