In The Monster Book, writer Doug Petrie shares some of the original ideas for Revelations that never made the final cut. Petrie states that the original intent of the Glove of Mynnigon was a “demonic falconer’s glove.” Petrie continued to state that “[w]hen you put it on and raised your arm, this huge, dark cloud would burst through the ceiling and take the form of a bird that spits fire.” This was determined to be an unfeasable and unfilmable idea. Petrie later used his idea of a demon bird story in a Buffy graphic novel he wrote for Dark Horse Comics. Petrie also states that there was a large amount of debate as to whether Gwendolyn Post would be human or not. |
