The bomb which threatens the lives of Faith and the potential Slayers in the sewer in Touched, is the second explosion in season seven. Caleb planted a bomb in the Watcher’s Council In Never Leave Me. The countdown of the sewer bomb continues over the ‘executive producers’ credit screen.

The song that plays while everyone is having sex in Touched is ‘It’s Only Love’ by Heather Nova from the album ‘South’.

We learn in Touched that Dawn has been reading up on magic (”Hey, I’ve been reading this old Turkish spell book.”) This ties in with Conversations with Dead People when she perfomred a spell to help her mother.

In Empty Places, Faith says of Anya, “Yeah, whenever she starts talking about getting all sweaty with Xander like that I just remind her I had him first. Shuts her right the hell up.” Faith and Xander had sex in The Zeppo.

The photo that Buffy looks at when she visits her office in Empty Places is the same one she looked at in Primeval. It is also similar to a photo she looked at in Dead Man’s Party and Halloween.

The way Willow alters the cop’s thoughts in Empty Places is reminiscent of Amy altering the teacher’s mind in Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered. Why does Willow use magic to get the police files anyway? It’s the kind of stuff she’d have got by computer hacking in the early days.

Caleb’s vineyard in season seven is called ‘Shadow Valley’. The name can be seen as the opposite to ‘Sunnydale’.

In Dirty Girls, Molly reminds Andrew that he’s not supposed to be telling stories anymore. Buffy demanded this in Storyteller after he kept lying about the murder of Jonathan.

Faith takes a stake from Buffy’s pocket to kill a vampire in Dirty Girls. She did the same thing when the two Slayers first met in Faith, Hope and Trick.

In Dirty Girls, Buffy tells Xander that her signal will be lots of yelling. Willow said the same thing when she dressed as Vampire Willow in Doppelgängland.

There are many flashbacks to previous episodes in Dirty Girls when Andrew describes Faith’s past to the potentials. The episodes include Faith, Hope and Trick, Revelations, The Zeppo, Bad Girls, Consequences, Enemies, Choices and This Year’s Girl.
